1. Overview
AtmosTrip is a weather and travel-preparation application for Android, distributed through Google Play. It does not require an account and does not create an advertising or behavioral profile. This policy explains what information is used to provide forecasts, reminders, saved places, and trip checklists.
2. Information stored on your device
The following information is stored locally on your device: saved places, unit and display preferences, reminder settings, recent weather cache, trips, dates, activities, packing items, quantities, notes, completion states, and locally created templates.
This local content is not uploaded to an AtmosTrip account or developer-operated database. You can remove individual content inside the app or clear all local application data from the Android system settings. Deleting the app also removes its locally stored data, subject to normal Android backup behavior controlled by you and your backup settings.
3. Location and place searches
AtmosTrip requests location access only after you choose the Current Location option. If granted, Android provides a coordinate that is used to request weather for that area. AtmosTrip requests location only for use while the app is in the foreground and never uses background location. You may deny or revoke location permission at any time, including in Android system settings, and continue using manual place search.
When you search for a city or destination, the search text and the resulting place coordinate are used to resolve that place and obtain its forecast. AtmosTrip does not use location information for tracking, advertising, or building a history of your movements.
4. Weather service requests
Weather data requires a network request to the weather service selected for the released version of AtmosTrip. The requested coordinate, language, and units may be sent to that service solely to return current conditions, hourly forecasts, daily forecasts, and supported weather details.
The selected weather and geocoding providers process requests under their own published privacy policies. Before release, the providers actually in use must be identified here and in the Google Play Data safety form so the disclosures accurately reflect how requests are handled.
5. Notifications
Notification permission is optional. On Android 13 and newer, it is requested when you enable your first reminder. AtmosTrip uses it only for rain, temperature-change, wind, departure, and packing reminders that you configure. Reminder preferences are stored locally. You can disable individual reminders in the app or revoke notification permission in Android system settings.
6. Exports and system sharing
AtmosTrip can create a weather summary or export a packing checklist as plain text or PDF. These files are generated only when you request them. When you open the Android share sheet, the destination you select is handled by Android and the receiving application under its own privacy terms. AtmosTrip does not automatically transmit your exported content.
7. Data we do not request
- No account credentials or user profile are required.
- No contact list, photo library, microphone, camera, or motion permission is required for the described features.
- No analytics, advertising, or tracking SDK is included in the planned product scope.
- No advertising identifier, such as the Android advertising ID, is read for advertising purposes.
- No cross-application tracking is performed.
8. Retention and deletion
Local information remains on your device until you delete it, clear application data, or remove the app. Cached forecasts may be replaced by newer responses. Weather and place-search providers may retain network request information under their own published policies; AtmosTrip does not control those independent retention periods.
9. Children’s privacy
AtmosTrip is a general-audience utility and is not designed to collect personal information from children. Because it does not require an account or personal profile, the app does not intentionally request a child’s name, email address, or contact information.
10. Security
AtmosTrip minimizes the information it handles and relies on Android protections, including application sandboxing and runtime permission controls, for local application storage and permission access. No method of electronic storage or network transmission is completely secure, but the app limits access to the information required for its features.
11. Policy changes
If the application’s features, weather provider, or information practices change, this policy will be revised, its effective date will be updated, and the Google Play listing and Data safety form will be kept consistent with it. Material changes will be presented through an appropriate in-app or release communication.
